A Message to the BuyBeats.com Community
Thank you to every producer, customer, and supporter who has been part of our journey.
When we launched BuyBeats.com in April 2022, our vision was bigger than creating another marketplace where producers could simply upload and sell beats.
We wanted to create a platform where producers could develop multiple ways to earn income—not only through beat sales, but also through referrals, streaming opportunities, community participation, and other business-building tools.
Over the years, our company invested significant time, development, and resources into attempting to bring that vision to life.
However, the producer community ultimately moved in a different direction. Most producers were primarily interested in selling beats, competing in beat battles, gaining exposure, and building recognition for their production skills.
The broader business model we developed did not receive the level of participation needed to make the platform sustainable. The past year became an important period for determining whether we could successfully continue moving that original vision forward.
After carefully reviewing the future of BuyBeats.com, we have made the difficult decision to discontinue the platform in its current form.
This was not an easy decision, but continuing the platform under its existing structure is no longer financially sustainable for the company.
BuyBeats.com may return in the future, but it would not return under the same format or business model that was introduced in 2022.
Important Information About Uploaded Files
During this transition, we discovered that certain media previously stored through our cloud-storage system is no longer available. This includes certain producer backup files, uploaded WAV files, and other audio media.
We sincerely regret this situation and understand the inconvenience and concern it may cause. Producers should continue maintaining local copies of all original recordings, production sessions, WAV files, and master files.
Final Account Review and Payments
A final accounting will be completed for the platform. If your account reflects an eligible unpaid balance or earnings owed from the final months of operation, those amounts will be reviewed and final payments will be issued accordingly.
Your BuyBeats Account Is Coming With You
Although BuyBeats.com is ending its current operations, registered BuyBeats members will have an opportunity to continue with us through ROCBATTLE 5.0.
Your BuyBeats username and eligible account information will be transferred to the new ROCBATTLE platform.
Once ROCBATTLE 5.0 is available, existing BuyBeats members can visit ROCBATTLE.com, reset their password if necessary, and log in to activate their account.
As a courtesy for being part of BuyBeats.com, eligible transferred members will receive three complimentary months of Premium Membership after activating their ROCBATTLE account.
The Next Chapter: ROCBATTLE 5.0
ROCBATTLE 5.0 is being developed for producers who want to compete, gain exposure, build their rankings, showcase their production skills, and position themselves for future opportunities within the music industry.
ROCBATTLE will focus on helping producers:
- Compete in producer beat battles
- Build win-loss records and producer rankings
- Gain exposure for their music and production skills
- Connect with a competitive producer community
- Qualify for special battles, recognition, and opportunities
For producers who enjoyed the competitive and exposure-driven side of our community, ROCBATTLE 5.0 represents the natural next chapter.
