Elfree had a great sample. Drums... not in the pocket for that sample, but enough to have the better beat in this battle. Mikemoprobeats is trying to win the loudness war, and as a result the sound quality is no good. Treble frequencies are smashed to hell, and there is nasty (not in a good way) compressor ducking / pumping when the kick drum comes in. Either that was a bad mix decision by "sidechaining the kick over the whole mix" or from squashing the whole mix to death with a bus compressor and limiter on the master bus. But it didn't trick me into hearing a more powerful kick drum, it sounded like the mix was a squashed flat pancake, with flat kicks coming in ducking everything out of the way. It was like the kick drum was Moses parting the red sea for the Hebrews to cross and escape Pharaoh every time the kick drum came in.
ElFree I like where you took the chops I used that also very differently smooth and Mikemo you gave me a bit of that just blaze vibe nice drum work and energy this was a really good battle with El with creativity and mike with heat and energy tuff battle, hip hop wins with this ....Vote going to Mikemo .... there is a difference between hiphop and eastcoast and I thunk this battle def shows the difference...sometimes nailing genre can def make a diff in a battle ...both tracks were hot though...got Mike

Both good beats but had to ride with Mike on this one. Both soulful beats but Mike had more of that Emcee style east coast beat. That style you can just spit bars to. Good job and good luck to both of you.

I'm going with Elfree his beat has soul and good arrangement. As to Mike's need to work on the repetitive cycle. Change up rhythms.
