Thank you LutherFord. The genre police have already been by here and just can't stand the thought of a beat not fitting in the tight genre boxes they make for themselves. This beat was inspired by DJ Snakes. It is a fusion of Afrobeats and Trap.

MM.... You are my favorite troll on this site. Unfortunately, you are also toxic to the site. Your talent at making music is undeniable. Your ability to play well with others in the context of beat battling is also, unfortunately, undeniable. The business side of buybeats.com has not been the best use of my time and energy except for the enjoyment I derived from battling beats and trying to be an active part of the community while building this brand. MM... Kizombaparty will remain on this site. I am taking my business elsewhere for reasons, I will be glad to discuss with FF. That means that I will have three battles per month. The types of music you and I make do cross paths occasionally. I will keep our private discussions private. Just know that when you want to have a competitive battle, I am there for you.
I was trying to wrap my head around the genre policy as well but I gave up on it. To certain extent, I understand the importance of a track fitting in a genre box, but by no means it should be a turning point for winning/losing a battle. In my opinion it should be creativity that makes a difference in battles. Even if the mix is not great, an interesting approach in making a track is immediately getting my attention. I'm not a hip-hop beatmaker but I spent years in studios, working with all sorts of producers, recording all sorts of instruments, writing all sorts of songs, gaining streams with my former band, touring the world etc, etc and I learned that if you don't stand out from the rest, blending in won't help you to get anyone's attention. That will forever remain my approach to making music. So, thank God my tracks don't fit a box. I will, as well as Kazomba, put my effort and time somewhere else. Three battles a month is plenty for me to check in whether my tracks are still different enough ✌🏻 Thanks for speaking out Kizomba!

Lu Banga. let me tell you why Genre is important in a genre based battle. how would you feel if you posted a R&B beat in a R&B battle and somebody posted a Pure trap beat and beat you!? You ain’t going to be thrilled about that. Kustom is just mad because everybody calls him out on the same thing all the time. it’s regular!

"pure trap" isn't what i did so that's a reach ... if that was the case I'd pick trap, maybe this is afro-trap? if so, FF can create the genre to settle your donut issue about it.

I was just trying to point out that ppl here are more focused on staying in the genre box rather than pushing it beyond boundaries, that's all. I might occasionally jump on a battle but to be honest, I'm not really feeling it with the current voting situation. Guess I'll take a little break from this ✌🏻
I get that, however if in the same scenario someone posted a R&B beat with elements of trap, and it's done in a interesting way, I'd have no problem giving that person a win. It would not occur to me as "not in the genre type beat" That's all I'm saying.
I didn't want to debate on kizo battle but now that it's over...idk when this started?But this narrative is hilarious being producers on here asked Fats for every genre under the sun...if you was one of those people?It's very hypocritical to then cry about people commenting on the very genres you asked for...and not make beats relatable to the very genres written...what are we doing then?Even in placement opportunities to you have to be genre appropriate....this new wave of I hate genre is crazy to me... furthermore leaving the site because one or 2 people vote according to genre is absurd to me...that's like me leaving because fats votes against my mixes....I simple try harder on my mixes ...that's the problem people are becoming too sensitive to critique especially positive criticism a win isn't everything trust me...u could be absolutely lying to yourself
