19The first day these beats went up, I listened to them a few times. Exactly what you (Glo) are explaining in the comments is what I thought to my self that you may have done. It's cool to experiment, but in the tourney,,,lol,,,OKAY! It's the time to do what you been doing to get this far and bring the belt home. I think your idea was cool, just felt like you over chopped. Jokey presented what he does here. However, the mix and sound quality is an ongoing thing. I don't think its anything wrong with sending your stems out for these big battles. Especially if in the finals where the mix could be the final factor! Anyway, good battle!

had a death in the family I posted both beats out of town...still managed to make the deadlines despite going thru a tough time...but no excuses
Hot azz battle both provided instant flavor Jokey Killa vocal chops strong bass and drum work like the fills the sequences are tight and full very good mix like the subtle break down in the 3rd seq, very good work. On to Gio like the subtle vocal in the intro, horn work is tight with the sprinkle efx and fills could of been chunkier Just My opinion I wish you would of put in a bass-line or accentuated the bass in the sample 2 tie everything to together good battle and good luck to both …. Voting Jokey on overall composition

My brothers, BOTH beats were uniquely different with lot of great progressions and changes, at times Jokey )much like my own beats) were very simplified. I appreciate this because I do this purposefully on most all my beats to let the track breathe and allow the artist to be the vocal instrument. But most other producers seem to not get that. Gio, my brother, your shit was also fire! everything hit perfectly and had more of a bounce then Jokey, but I can't say one was better than the other. the system demands that someone has to lose, but I am a rebel and refuse to allow the system to control me. Its a tie!!! lol

Jokey-- that's great, nice hip hop sound too. It's fairly constant, not many breakdowns or stops of the main beat between sections of the sample - like add a breather, create some space and build tensions. All preference ideas, beat is fine! GIO - not bad, I think I'm hearing some chops that are throwing some weird tones/pitches in various parts. Nice mix otherwise, could use a bass, but the elements are there. Vote for jokey on arrangement/mix. nice tourney battle~!

I got jokey on this 1 that beat is nice! gio drummer your beat was ok. its a lot missing to your beat bass, and a better mix on honest.
