beasley i LOVE how this took me on a journey!!! Very dope! Bob yours was not bad, but i still think you need to upgrade your sounds, esp that saw synth that comes in on the hook. Nobody does that kinda stuff anymore, esp not on a hip hop beat. Maybe pop or EDM but not hip hop. Guitar was ok, but I would suggest adding reverb and delay to it. Also, I would recommend you start trying to experiment with 808s. Either that or try some kind of other synth basses that sound a bit more modern. But the beat overall is not terrible per se, but Beasley got this one tho...
Agree 100% here. I was not feeling my beat at all, I don’t listen to enough modern music to know the do’s and donts. I sort of made a dated sounding uk rap beat from maybe 8 years ago. Not sure if I even able to jump on the new sound, as I have a general aversion to it. It’s tough, my choices are make bad sounding modern beats, or make really dated sounding beats I like.
