Sony Pictures Sync Licensing with BuyBeats.com
BuyBeats is now inline to supply music for Sony Pictures Television. This comes about as we gear up to launch our music publishing division headed by Armando Cadogan Jr. “Panama”. who is an executive here at BuyBeats.com, Inc.
Sony Pictures Sync Licensing opportunity is the first of many deals that we are securing to provide more opportunities here on the BuyBeats platform. The Senior Vice President of Television Music at Sony Pictures Television is excited to jump in and start exploring the beats available on our platform.
Here is how it will work.
We are developing a specific area on our platform where Sony music advisors/executives can browse the beat library from the selected premium member music producers. These beats will have already been approved and simply used in accordance to the licensing terms. Our beat request system will also be used when looking for specific work requested by Sony Pictures Television. Our Company will simply act as an administrator for the music producers in these deals and payout license fees and/or royalties accordingly. The application process to become a part will be available soon.
We know that some producers have varying situations when it comes to their publishing. So who we allow to be submitted for sync request and opportunities can also vary. The following can give you an idea of who will be a priority for what we are looking for.
1. You produce original music with no samples. We will not be in the business of clearing samples.
2. You currently don't have a sync agent.
3. We may require that we fully administer your publishing. (This is to be determined on a case-by-case basis)
4. You must fully own 100% of your material and have full rights to authorize its license.
5. Your quality of music and mix must be adequate. No exceptions!!!
6. Flexibility is key! You may be asked to change parts of your production and even to remove your tags for some projects.
There will be more details announced soon. However what we need is to gain feedback from the music producers that are interested in having their music placed for synchronization through the BuyBeats Publishing services.

I think it's a good opportunity for some but I'd like to see more skilled competition in battles and details to gain hustle status etc.. how about categorized beat battles by genres allowing the best in they craft to go against the best in respective genre. like westcoast beat battles, trap battles. boom bap etc... I think it puts more light on each type of producer cause it will highlight everyone better and help artist find the right producers easier.

Is this through Sony/ATV? I already have a Publishing Deal with them as of 2020. Will this change how I'm able to participate?
depends on the details of the deal and what rights you have over your masters. This is why I mentioned its all case-by-case in how we can do business. Once We have the application process up, more information will help guide everyone.

There is a certain etiquette you need to know in sync licensing.
Some, (or most) of that looks as if it will be handled by this platform. Like, how to properly communicate with industry music supervisors, & libraries. What versions of the track they expect, ect... but..
I can help with beat structure, & requirements that will meet the industry standards of what music supervisors, & sync reps expect from composers.
Beats for TV/Film HAVE to be structured a certain way, with a STING ENDING!

Anyone good at Orchestral trap... send me those anthemic arena brass heavy melodies!! Toms and snares help me to find a grove to write this type of music to. I'll do transitions, FX, automations, and structure the beat.
Think the Fox sports, or ESPN themes... Work in that key.
Grab a Brass Bass section, strings, horns, violins, and experiment. Snare/hat rolls, are important, and a punch kick. (think military/college football band vibes) I use crowd sounds & other sounds from Splice myself. Depending on what sport the track is intended for.. if any.
Learn those popular theme songs and make similar tracks.
