This is real weird, I use reaper and for some reason when I now quantize it is so off I have never heard anyone in life sound that bad. Does anyone know what this could be?

Might be slight latency issue, my advice is to keep quantize on and just slide your notes to your liking.
I'm sorry, I don't use reaper. My advice? Switch to FL studio, you will love it here!
